My 7 and 5 year olds had their first swimming lesson since Covid, so as a treat for them, I booked a table at Grillado for 17:30, to go straight there afterwards. The service was brilliant and the food was amazing, with pork falling off the bone and amazing skewers with different meats on, etc. We had a groupon deal, but wanted to support the restauranteurs by spending a bit more, so ordered drinks and desserts (and gave a tip), which were also much enjoyed. Only slight suggested improvement would be for the chips to be crispier (they were crispy last time we came, but this time undercooked and a bit soggy) and some kind of sauce (other than ketchup) to go with the chicken on the bone (otherwise it was a tad bland). ~ matticace

If you're very lucky you may find a parking space on Castle Street just opposite Grillado otherwise its only a 5 minute walk from Central Car Park. We had a Groupon voucher for starter and sharing platter and the staff were very welcoming and quickly showed us to our table and left us with the menu from which we could choose any starter upto £6.95 or simply pay the difference. My shallow fried baby octopus rings were lovely and light and extremely delicious. The grilled portobello mushroom with goat’s cheese and trio of crustini were also delicious. The main sharing platter consisting of lamb chops, chicken, Italian sausage and beef on the bone all of which were beautifully moist and tasty with the beef being amazingly tender. The wine from Puglia was great and the service was attentive without being overbearing. An excellent meal and incredible value. ~ John A

Da wir den ganzen Tag durch die wunderbare Stadt gelaufen waren, hatten wir am Abend keine Lust mehr, in ein Restaurant zu gehen. Wir wollten lieber auf der Terrasse im Aibnb essen. In der Kathedrale hatte uns ein Tourguide bereits dieses Lokal empfohlen, also schaute ich auf die Homepage und bestellte online. Die Zubereitung braucht etwa eine halbe Stunde und die Lieferung war sehr freundlich. Das Essen war sehr reichhaltig und gut! Lasagne wie in Italien, Rippchen sehr zart! We came here as I was bought a “BuyAGift” voucher and it was valid here for a 3 course meal with coffee and 2 glasses of wine each. I contacted the restaurant to book it and told them of my voucher use which was no problem. The manager at front of house was very friendly and explained what was included in our voucher. The menu has a good variety of Italian dishes, and the food was really good quality and portion sizes were generous - I couldn’t finish all of the food. A good little restaurant which is nice to find, and would definitely come back here again when we are in the area. ~ Alex R

First time here and for a surprise birthday. We rarely venture up this road, and after last night that might have been a mistake. We had a great meal, nice wine and staff were excellent. I had tuna carpaccio to start and the surf and turf fir main done rare plus which was lovely. Partner had the Duck which looked amazing !!! Choose the cheesecake for sweet and it was a very nice way to finish. Wine was the Pinot Grigio and we had 2 bottles so must have been good 👍 About 40 covers when full. Brilliant little restaurant. The staff were lovely, helpful and knowledgeable when I asked them about the food and wine, and gave some great recommendations. The food itself was absolutely amazing. Perfectly cooked, perfectly presented, great flavour. I don't think I could draw fault in any of it. I have to say I think the quality here was the same as you would get for double the price in other restaurants across the south. We had 3 courses and wine and the bill came to £82. Not too shabby for an awesome evening. ~ Rad D

Cannot recommend Grillado enough. Me and my partner travel about 25 miles to come out for dinner here and it is always our first choice of restaurant when eating out. Staff are always so friendly, the food is delicious and there is a good selection of wines. I particularly enjoy Grillado's risotto (the risotto of the day varies each time we come but each one has been delicious). Meals are reasonably priced and the atmosphere is always pleasant. This is an amazing Sicilian family restaurant with not just DELICIOUS food but great charm and a sense of community. the pizza which the diretorre del ristorante, and I’m guessing Capofamiglia, warned us might be a little too thick in the crust was absolutely perfect for us. I had the ravioli del giorno (ricotta and spinach) which was absolutely gorgeous with some butter and sage. I came in hangry and tired and left with a big smile on my face. Well done. ~ Peter V

Visited Grillado for a family get together after reading excellent online reviews and we were not disappointed. There is a very extensive menu and each of the dishes that we ordered (pizza, lasagne, spaghetti and seafood pasta) were excellently prepared and beautifully presented. Add to this a good wine recommendation, very efficient and friendly service all at a reasonable price and this an easy restaurants to unreservedly recommend to others. Very impressed with our visit to Grillado. We arrived for our booking at 7.30 pm on a Sunday and were the first in. It felt a little empty at first but very soon more tables were occupied. The service was excellent, the food to match. Nothing was to much trouble and the cost was very reasonable. We shall certainly book again next time we are in Salisbury. PS we were also the last to leave but at no time did we feel pressure to go and the service remained immutable. Thank you. ~ Paul S

We arrived on a Saturday from NY City. After flying all night and then traveling to Salisbury we walked to this restaurant. It was a Saturday night and the restaurant was full and of course we had no reservation. The owner had some tables moved and inserted a smaller table for two. It was a superb meal. We went again at the end of our stay in Salisbury. The owner not only recognized us but served us himself. Again, perfect food. Perfect service. It deserves 10 stars! ~ DIANA A

What a fantastic restaurant, we were so lucky to get a last minute table on a recent trip to Salisbury, all the staff made the experience so memorable. The food is amazing and the atmosphere was great too. The owner even took time to talk with my wife and I. If you want great food and lots of it with a very good price then Grillado is the place to be. I only wish we lived closer so we could enjoy it more. ~ Gary P

Tucked away from the main area of restaurants but definitely worth a visit - the food is incredibly good, with plenty of it and the value for money is comparably very good. The restaurant was busy and warm, and we enjoyed excellent service. We all thoroughly enjoyed our main courses - the gnocchi, the rigatoni and the seafood linguine and the spicy mozzarella in breadcrumbs as a starter was delicious. The food is out of this world. I had the scallops followed by the prawns with risotto. The scallops were fantastic, the prawns and the risotto likewise. My daughters had spaghetti and mussels, both of which were delicious, the mussels especially so, possibly the best I have ever had. Overall, an absolutely incredible meal. The most amazing food plus top quality service makes this an outstanding place to eat. ~ paul c

We were visiting from the states. They were able to work us in to a fully booked evening. We are so glad they did. The food was excellent! Our taxi driver had suggested it and we used our driver again just to say thank you. One of the best Italian meals I have ever had. The salmon was delicious and my husband's veal was perfect. We had to stop eating to make room for dessert. A win all around. Try the berry cider or any of the wines! ~ Michelle D

We were warmly greeted as we arrived. We had made a reservation which we recommend you do. We booked early for 18:30 and glad we did as it got busier and noisy. The staff are super attentive, the food incredible, great wine choice too. This is a small restaurant with an open kitchen and we had a wonderful dinner date and it was nice to actually go and thank the chefs. Highly recommend a visit here. ~ Alison M

This lovely cosy local Italian was a perfect choice to celebrate a birthday meal. We had a lovely round table tucked into a nook which felt like we were in the comfort of our own dining room enjoying food prepped by private chefs. Our group ordered a selection of dishes and we all finished them because they were so damn tasty. It’s nice to be able to eat at a restaurant where you can chop and change the dishes to fit your dietary requirements and to be offered alternatives free of charge... for example my friend wanted the carbonara with penne instead of spaghetti and another friend wanted a spicy seafood linguini without calamari but with shrimp instead. Plus the portion sizes are plentiful. Thee staff were attentive and friendly. They went to the effort to do a lovely birthday surprise without our knowledge which was a bonus! And the manager makes you feel so welcome as if you are stepping into his own home. You can really see, feel and taste the passion he’s put into the restaurant. Definitely one of the top restaurants in Salisbury!!! If you are ever in Salisbury it’s worth trying!! ~ Mas

Absolutely lovely experience at Grillado! I booked this restaurant last minute for a long overdue catch up with my best friend, and we were greeted by exceptionally friendly staff that couldn’t do enough for us! The food was amazing and a perfect amount with a big range on the menu for all foodies. The customer service was 10/10, I cannot fault it and will definitely be returning again. We had dinner at Grillado's on Saturday 15/5/22. What a wonderful place! The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. The restaurant was spacious and very comfortable. There was plenty of choice on the menu, even for vegetarians. The food arrived perfectly paced between courses and was delicious. It was a superb meal with superb service. We will visit again when in the area and we would recommend a visit for anyone in town. ~ Sam S

3 course lunch for 2, with wine, on a Saturday lunchtime using BuyaGift voucher. Great choice with good menu, and excellent service. Food was exceptional with starters calamari and croquettes with dips to share, Mains : Mussels and Veal with Parma ham in a lovely white wine sauce and seasonal veg. No need to order sides as the portions were ample. Very attentive service. Recommend. ~ Steve D

I kept ordering pizza from them. Now with the lock down things got rough for all business. I'm glad they are still able to stay in business. That's because, compared to PizzaHot or Domino on Fisherton Street, at Grillado I always ate pizza as I ate in Italy some years ago. Tasty, traditional recipes and that smell!... Arrived at Salisbury late on Sunday - had a walk to the cathedral and back, can't decide what to eat. Looked at Trip advisor, and came here full of expectations. We weren't disappointed - food was wonderful - roast chicken was perfect, ribs was so tender that melt in your mouth.. Banoffee pie was out of this world. Haven't had a meal like this on the road for a while. Thank you for a lovely meal. ~ Bosco C
