If you're very lucky you may find a parking space on Castle Street just opposite Grillado otherwise its only a 5 minute walk from Central Car Park. We had a Groupon voucher for starter and sharing platter and the staff were very welcoming and quickly showed us to our table and left us with the menu from which we could choose any starter upto £6.95 or simply pay the difference. My shallow fried baby octopus rings were lovely and light and extremely delicious. The grilled portobello mushroom with goat’s cheese and trio of crustini were also delicious. The main sharing platter consisting of lamb chops, chicken, Italian sausage and beef on the bone all of which were beautifully moist and tasty with the beef being amazingly tender. The wine from Puglia was great and the service was attentive without being overbearing. An excellent meal and incredible value. ~ John A
Wow wow wow! As newlyweds, we visited Salisbury for our minimoon. We chose Grillado for our evening meal on New Year’s Eve and we were blown away by everything from start to finish! Most beautiful home made local Italian food we have had! My pasta beat some dishes we have had in Italy! Fantastic service, staff are so attentive throughout, clearly very proud of their food also! And that’s always a good sign. Special thanks to Danny and the bar staff, such a calm and inviting atmosphere and it felt very homely. Drinks were beautiful, especially the limoncello at the end ;) food was 5* and dessert ( which has to be an affogato always ) was incredible. Thank you for an absolutely stunning meal we loved every part of it. Considering it was New Year’s Eve, a busy time of year, the service did not slip and the food was cooked to perfection. My 7 and 5 year olds had their first swimming lesson since Covid, so as a treat for them, I booked a table at Grillado for 17:30, to go straight there afterwards. The service was brilliant and the food was amazing, with pork falling off the bone and amazing skewers with different meats on, etc. We had a groupon deal, but wanted to support the restauranteurs by spending a bit more, so ordered drinks and desserts (and gave a tip), which were also much enjoyed. Only slight suggested improvement would be for the chips to be crispier (they were crispy last time we came, but this time undercooked and a bit soggy) and some kind of sauce (other than ketchup) to go with the chicken on the bone (otherwise it was a tad bland). ~ matticace
